Nick and Sam – A Harrogate wedding

One thing I see again and again is how a wedding brings people together. Friends you’ve not seen for years, or family members who live on the other side of the world. They’ll all come out for a celebration, especially if it’s your celebration, and even more so if you’re getting married. It’s something I’ll never tire of seeing or experiencing. In fact, it’s something I find quite surreal – the people I’m with on a wedding day will rarely be together like this.

And so it was with Sam and Nick. Sam’s entire family flew from the other side of the globe to see her get married. All of them. We chatted about the differences in culture. I was introduced to Tim-Tams. Those things are amazing.

But then it was off to the Harrogate registry office for the ceremony, where a met a slightly nervous Nick. And then across to the Masonic Hall. We even managed to sneak in a trip to the Valley Gardens to get away from it all for 10 mins.

ere are a few of my favourites from the day…
