Freddie was having none of it. Wedding or no wedding, he wasn’t wearing a suit. Didn’t matter who was trying to coax him into it, it wasn’t going on. You might remember Freddie from Kellie and Rob’s engagement shoot – he photo-bombed us at the end of the session and turned it into a family shoot.
So I’m not sure who managed to get him dressed, but they deserve a gold star.
Being asked to photograph the wedding of an old school friend is good enough, but when I found out Kellie and Rob were getting married at Glenridding in Ullswater, it clinched the deal. I had it all pictured in my head – the majestic hills, the lush colours, the dramatic skies, the babbling stream, and the lake itself. It was going to be beautiful.
What I didn’t quite count on was the rain. Yes, we got all of the above, it really was stunning. But running in and out of the Inn on the Lake for cover was pretty much our work out for the day.
But then the party started and the rain didn’t matter anymore. The first-dance /cha-cha slide combo went down a storm, and some serious shapes were thrown.
Kellie, Rob and Freddie, thank you for asking me along and congratulations to you all!
Here’s what happened…
